Collaborating with An on the design of our wedding rings was a wonderful experience. We wanted something very specific: a simple form based on a geometric concept, which had personal meaning to us. Louis sketched out a drawing before we sat down with An, who immediately understood our intention and was an amazing collaborator and craftsman. An had a 3-dimensional model produced so that we could try out the rings and see the design almost fully realized. We really do think about how much we enjoy our rings every day: a solid circular tube of white gold with a slice cut out of each on one side, with a small diamond mounted in Marsha’s and an equivalent empty space in Louis’s. We continue to admire their sophisticated simplicity, and appreciate so much that we were able to get exactly what we wanted by working with An.
