Mary & Alex

Mary and I wanted to design our wedding rings together. I knew that it would be important for us to find a skilled artist willing to take the time to help us realize something unique and special to symbolize our marriage. I was so impressed by the beauty and craftsmanship of An’s jewelry when I first saw it. Moreover, it was clear during our initial conversation that getting to know clients to help them express their ideas through a collaborative process is the heart of what he does. An’s friendliness and design philosophy were exactly what we hoped to find in a jeweler. I met An while Mary and I were planning a trip to California, where she used to live, and I wanted to propose to Mary at one of her favorite places there. Just in time for our trip, An helped me find a gorgeous sapphire – Mary’s favorite blue – which I gave to her overlooking the Pacific.

Alex knew I would prefer a unique ring, and An was the perfect person to help make that happen. He worked with Alex to select an incredible sapphire. Alex proposed on the beach in Point Reyes, California with a Great Blue Heron – one of my favorite birds – and coastal lupines – my favorite flower – in bloom nearby. I was overwhelmed with excitement, and in my joy I almost forgot to open the box containing the stone! When I finally did, I was blown away by the beauty of the sapphire. Creating the ring was a fun adventure. I worked with An to design something special and right for me. An was so thoughtful and kind throughout the design process. He took the time to get to know us both as individuals and as a couple. I couldn't be happier with the ring. Every time it catches my eye I'm reminded of that beautiful day on the coast. I'm so glad we have gotten to know An, and that his beautiful work will be in our lives for many years to come.
