For a large part of our relationship, I was living in North Carolina while Katy was in Frederick, Maryland because of the pandemic. Doing long distance, while definitely not the easiest, forced us to quickly learn how to communicate with each other. When it came time for Katy and I to design a ring together, it seemed fitting that we also ended up working long distance. While my family had previously worked with An, Katy was very nervous about entrusting her vision to someone she didn’t know. Once again communication was essential and An went above and beyond to make us both feel at ease. Whether it was calls, texts, facetimes, or emails, An was always willing to take time and walk us through any questions and concerns, or random middle of the day freakouts.

During the period when we would go weeks or even months without seeing each other, the moments I would see Katy for the first time after being apart always immediately reminded me why we were together. When I first saw the ring An designed, I had that exact same feeling. An was able to perfectly realize what we wanted and now every time I see the flawless ring on Katy’s finger I am reminded of those special moments.
